MOONG ALOO TIKKI CHAAT

Moong Aloo tikki chaat This is a snack originated from northern sub-continent;in North India,pakistan and Bangladesh..It's made out of boiled potatoes,whole moong and spices..A famous Indian street food.. This snack can be enjoyed any time of the year,but preferably in summers and monsoon.So lets get into the recipe.... Ingredients: 4 boiled potatoes Half cup boiled whole moong 2 tsp green chillies One medium sized onion chopped Half cup corrainder leaves Yogurt (dahi)2 cups Salt to taste Method: In a big bowl add in potatoes,moong,oinons,chillies,salt and mix it well.Make tikkis and grill them on tawa with dash of oil.. The tikkis are ready to plate..In yogurt and salt and sugar and beat it nicely...Pour the yogurt mix on top of the tikkis,sprinkle chilli powder,cumin powder, corrainder leaves..Serve it chill... VEGGIE CUTLETS

Veggie Cutlets A snack made of potatoes,corn,carrots,peas etc..You can add any vegetable of your choice.Its a better solution for kids who don't like to eat veggies..You can even store them in freezer for a month,so it makes a good Ramadan iftar choice. INGREDIENTS: Boiled potatoes 4 Boiled carrots 2 Boiled peas 1/2 cup Boiled corn 1/2 cup One medium onion Bread crumbs Egg or maida  Green chillies 5-6 Corrainder/Dhania 3 tbsp Black pepper 1/4 tsp Salt to taste.. Method: In a large bowl mash the potatoes and carrot..Mix in all the remaining veggies and mix it nicely. Add chopped onion,chillies,salt,2-3tbsp bread crumbs,pepper and corrainder leaves..Give it a nice mix. Now make cutlets of any shape u like n refrigerate it for half an hour. Beat eggs with salt n pepper,dip the cutlets in egg mixture and roll in bread crumbs. Shallow fry on medium heat.. Serve with green chutney. Tips: For vegeterians who don't eat eggs,can make a slurr

CRISPY ONION FRITTERS

Crispy Onion pakora/fritters Pakora,bhaijia whatever you call it,the taste is the same.In india it's always have been our favourite teatime snack.A simple to make snack,that even guests enjoy..Monsoon  is the most favourite season when it's made all over.Hot sipping tea and bhaijas,make a perfect combination.Made with homemade simple ingredients it's an all time favourite. Now let's into the recipe Ingredients: Sliced onion 2 cups Besan/gram flour 3 tbsp Salt to taste Carrom seeds/ajwain 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds/jeera 1/4 tsp Green chiilies chopped 1 tbsp Method; Thinly Slice the onions and wash nicely ,so that all strands are separated properly..put it in the strainer for few minutes. In a big bowl add gram flour,cumin,carrom seeds,green chillies,salt..Add in the onions,give it a mix and leave it aside for sometime..The water from salt releases and makes the batter ready to use..Deep fry the fritters in oil on medium flame...Serve it hot with chutne

SPICY CREAMY PASTA

SPICY CREAMY PASTA Pasta is an wholesome meal,a one pot meal.This pasta recipe is an Indian version,made by spices ,veggies and herbs.It makes for a super quick brunch or dinner. Let's go straight into the recipe.. Ingredients: 2 cups pasta 2 onions 2 Tomatoes 3-4 garlic 2 Green chiilies 1/2 cup cream 1 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp turmeric Salt to taste 2 tbsp each of oil and butter Mixed herbs Cheese Instructions: Boil pasta as per instructions given in the pack In 2 tbsp oil and butter saute onions,garlic,chiilies and tomatoes,untill the tomato softens..cool n grind to paste In the same wok add the ground paste add salt,red chilli powder,turmeric and saute till oil seperates..add in one cup water and mix well..Finally add cream,pasta and herbs,mix it well and serve..Granish with coriander leaves and grated cheese..

Chicken Bread cutlets

Crispy Chicken cutlet It's a very easy,yet tasty recipe.You can make and freeze this for a month.So for all busy mom's ,do try out this recipe and you and your family will love it. So these are the ingredients you will need: Two cups of boiled and shredded chicken Bread slices 10 One cup bread crumbs One and half cup chopped onions 1 tbsp each of giner,garlic and green chilli chopped finely 2 Eggs 1 glass milk 1 tbsp white vinegar 1 tbsp soya sauce 2 tbsp cornflour. 1 tbsp red chiili flakes 1 tsp black pepper powder Salt to taste Method:In a wok add 2 tbsp oil or butter.sauye onions and ginger,garlic and chillies.once the onions turn pink in color add milk(mixed with 2 tbsp cornflour in it.stir add in soya sauce,dry spices and stir well..Then add in the chicken and vinegar,mix nicely.Dont over cook,the chicken should be little creamy not very dry.  take bread slices and cut round shape with a cutter or any round bowl..Take one bre
