SPICY KHEEMA SAMOSA

Spicy kheema Samosa

Samosa is an all time favourite snack for Indians and many around the globe..This is a family recipe passed on by my mom in law..A very simple yet tasty recipe...These can be made and stored in freezer for 2 weeks...The spicy kheema,freshness of mint leaves and the crunch of onions make it irresistible..


Ingredients:

Kheema(minced meat)500gm
Green chillies chopped 3tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
Salt as per taste
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Onions 3 medium chopped
Mint leaves(pudina) one cup chopped..

Instructions:

In a wok add one tbsp oil,add in the kheema,ginger garlic paste,green chillies,salt and turmeric..
Saute nicely till the water reduces and the mixture is all dried..There should not be any moisture left..
Cool the mixture completely..Then add in mint leaves and onions mix well..You are good to go..Just fill in the samosa,deep fry and enjoy ...

VEGGIE CUTLETS

Veggie Cutlets A snack made of potatoes,corn,carrots,peas etc..You can add any vegetable of your choice.Its a better solution for kids who don't like to eat veggies..You can even store them in freezer for a month,so it makes a good Ramadan iftar choice. INGREDIENTS: Boiled potatoes 4 Boiled carrots 2 Boiled peas 1/2 cup Boiled corn 1/2 cup One medium onion Bread crumbs Egg or maida  Green chillies 5-6 Corrainder/Dhania 3 tbsp Black pepper 1/4 tsp Salt to taste.. Method: In a large bowl mash the potatoes and carrot..Mix in all the remaining veggies and mix it nicely. Add chopped onion,chillies,salt,2-3tbsp bread crumbs,pepper and corrainder leaves..Give it a nice mix. Now make cutlets of any shape u like n refrigerate it for half an hour. MOONG ALOO TIKKI CHAAT

Moong Aloo tikki chaat This is a snack originated from northern sub-continent;in North India,pakistan and Bangladesh..It's made out of boiled potatoes,whole moong and spices..A famous Indian street food.. This snack can be enjoyed any time of the year,but preferably in summers and monsoon.So lets get into the recipe.... Ingredients: 4 boiled potatoes Half cup boiled whole moong 2 tsp green chillies One medium sized onion chopped Half cup corrainder leaves Yogurt (dahi)2 cups Salt to taste Method: In a big bowl add in potatoes,moong,oinons,chillies,salt and mix it well.Make tikkis and grill them on tawa with dash of oil.. The tikkis are ready to plate..In yogurt and salt and sugar and beat it nicely...Pour the yogurt mix on top of the tikkis,sprinkle chilli powder,cumin powder, corrainder leaves..Serve it chill...
